Here is Mr Alex Tuhirirwe with his pigs.

He also used the Loan4Hope scheme to borrow £20.  With this money he was able to buy a piglet and starter feeds for his piggery project.  He now has 5 pigs and his business is expanding.  Another success story for the project.

Meet Mr Wilson Bangirna

He borrowed £20 through the Loan4Hope scheme at Kaleere Parish, to buy 2 tins of bean seeds which he has planted this season.  He is hoping for a harvest of at least 4 sacks of beans which will give him an estimated return of £140.  Being able to provide for his family is of great importance and gives him hope for their future.

He should be able to pay back the loan in full, enabling someone else to benefit from the scheme.

Managed through the local church and monitored by Christian Hope International, support, training and advice are provided by the church to ensure the small loan is repaid in one year.

"I thank God for the opportunity that came through our Church that gave low interest loans to the youth. When the opportunity came, I registered through but I didn't go through. Later on I was called and given the money, I used it to attain skills in Bicycle repairing after noticing that many people in my community were using bicycles as their easiest means of transport yet no one was doing the repairs. In 3 months I finished the training and started my workshop.

Glory be to God for this vision, I got many customers that wanted repairs and spare parts which brought me good money and enabled me to repay my loan on time.

I got more money from the program and expanded my business, carried out agriculture and also started training other youths in my community.

In two years now, I have been able to buy myself a plot of land and constructed a two roomed house that's going to accommodate my family and the workshop.

I can't thank my Church enough because it got  me from nothing, am now a living example to other youths. Thanks be to God"
